I’m Russell, a GP in Sussex who turned a love of photography into a daily habit. Since January 2024 I’ve shared a “photo of the day” without missing one, a creative outlet and a way of paying closer attention to the world.

The Brown Stuff brings together some of my favourite images — from quiet details on the South Downs to abstract finds in the everyday. Each is part of a mindful practice of exploring light, texture and perspective, and of sharing moments that might otherwise be overlooked.
