A study in visibility

From a fixed position in Three Cornered Copse, above Brighton and Hove, I photograph the same view south towards the English Channel.

The distant Rampion wind turbines provide a constant reference point, but what can be seen between here and there changes considerably. Weather, light, haze and atmospheric conditions alter the landscape, sometimes within minutes.

The camera position, composition and processing remain as consistent as possible. The intention is to record what changes, rather than to create the most attractive individual photograph.

The project began in June 2026 and is ongoing.
